My Specialties
Anxiety
Are you struggling with worry, difficulty controlling thoughts, or feeling overwhelmed? Anxiety can come from different stressors that can impact our work, school and relationships with others. Together, we can find ways to reduce anxiety and increase calmness.
Latinx/e & First-Gen Identity
Navigating the Latinx identity can be complex, often creating a feeling of “ni de aquí, ni de allá” as you move between two very different worlds. It is understandable to feel isolated when juggling cultural clashes or family expectations that make you feel like you aren’t doing “enough.” I specialize in helping first-gen individuals navigate these unique stressors. From managing family dynamics to establishing the healthy boundaries you need to feel whole in both worlds.
Relationship Issues
Maybe you’re here because you’re struggling with connecting with your partner or other important people in your life. If so, relationship or couple’s therapy can be a space to find that sense of connection again.
Grief and Loss
The loss of a loved one brings about many emotions, sometimes all at the same time. Grief is a natural response to such a painful event in one’s life. Your space with me will be safe, non-judgmental and full of empathy as you process your grief.
Depression
Depression can make it challenging to see the positive side of things and it can make us feel “stuck”. At times, it can be hard to find the motivation to accomplish daily tasks or move forward with goals. Together, we can work on getting “unstuck” and finding that motivation again.
Perinatal Mental Health
Struggling with mood changes or anxiety during or after pregnancy is more common than many realize. I hold specialized training from Postpartum Support International, allowing me to offer support to those experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, and the unique trauma of perinatal loss.
